EL MISSIONS MOTTO  :-         Towards A Global Ministry

“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” Mk 16:15 The verse John 3:16, “For God so loved the world …” tells us that our God is a global God – His heart is for the whole world, not just one nation.  When He first chose Abraham to raise up a nation through him, it was for the purpose of becoming a blessing to the other nations (Gen 12:1-3).

 In the Old Testament, the approach of missions was centripetal, “Come & See” – with the nation of Israel as the centre of God’s witness and other nations coming to this centre to receive God’s blessings.  But in the New Testament, missions became centrifugal – Jesus’ Great Commission to the Christians is “Go and Tell”.  Starting from Jerusalem, the early Church went out to preach the gospel to Judea, Samaria and other parts of the world (Acts 1:8).

                 It is our desire that EL Assembly can become a church with a global ministry, bringing God’s blessing and salvation to people not only in our country but also beyond.  At present, besides Singapore, we are supporting works/workers in various ministries of East Timor, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, India and China.

OUR MISSIONS GOALS:
 

Passion for Missions	To develop and increase such passion in our members through regular Mission News, praying, giving towards Missions and going for mission trips
Support for Missions	To provide financial & prayer support to local and foreign ministries within the 10/40 window
Unreached People Group	To pioneer a church among an UPG - the Sambals of Zambales in the Philippines
Social Ministries	To be involved with community projects such as Street Children Sponsorship
Full-time Workers	To raise up a missionary and a Bible School Student from EL Assembly
